Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that is currently under attack by FDA, with the sale of homeopathic medicines now in a state of quasi-legality.

If you are unfamiliar with homeopathy in general, this article in the Epoch Times gives a great background and discusses its safety and efficacy.

The grassroots consumer advocacy organization, Americans For Homeopathy Choice, is attempting to work with Congress to establish solid legal protections for homeopathic medicine. In order to do this, they need volunteers from every congressional district in the United States.

Here in Tennessee, we currently have volunteers in these districts:

  • Rep. Diana Harshbarger
  • Rep. Jim Cooper
  • Rep. Mark Green

But we are lacking volunteers in the following districts:

  • Rep. Tim Burchett
  • Rep. Chuck Fleischmann
  • Rep. Scott DesJarlais
  • Rep. John W. Rose
  • Rep. David Kustoff
  • Rep. Stephen I. Cohen

DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS AT RISK

Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs

Proposed legislation in the Senate would greatly increase the FDA’s regulation of all dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and herbs.

S.4348, the FDASLA Act of 2022, Subtitle B – Dietary Supplements requires all dietary supplements to be registered with the FDA and receive an official listing number.

This changes how dietary supplements have been successfully regulated since the beginning of the FDA. This legislation is…

  • Expensive for tax payers ($6 Million+ each year)
  • Bad for small businesses that make dietary supplements.

This adds the following to the Tennessee Constitution:

All individuals have a natural inherent and unalienable right to food, including the right to save and exchange seeds and the right to grow, raise, harvest, produce and consume the food of their own choosing for their own nourishment, sustenance, bodily health, and well-being, as long as an individual does not commit trespassing, theft, poaching, or other abuses of private property rights, public lands or natural resources in the harvesting, production, or acquisition of food.
